This was the first CD pressed by 9Davine (though earlier recordings exist on cassette). <em>Oyster & Champagne</em> grooves with fetching hooks, haunting lyrics, murky bass, and purposeful dissonance. Nicolette (track 5) was featured on the soundtrack for the short film <em>B</em>, as part of the 2004 48-hour Film Festival in Washington DC.
