lay lips on you (long kiss mix) is another one of those songs that’s in my top 5. i wrote this song about a woman i was dating at the time who was substantially younger than me. she had a few cultural issues to resolve with regards to sex and that made for weird gemini type moments. yeah, i want you. no, wait, i can’t be doing this. oh, ok then – i’ll just date you for years. you know the routine. she was a magnificently intelligent and beautiful woman – but very complicated as well. this was exactly the type i dated for years before meeting gwen and “re-callibrating” (as friends have called it).
