Elevate

elevate is a rough take that i recorded on my microtrack mp3 recorder from m-audio. it was written in late april 2009. it was inspired by wives who hawk their husbands’ facebook, myspace and other social media places – sometimes even answering for them when you think you’re reaching out to your boys. not sure why some women do this, but it makes them look really bad. don’t you have your own stuff to worry about instead of snooping around behind your man? didn’t you get married so that you didn’t have to obsess over his commitment to you?
